Assignments + course plan
Randy Pausch assignment:
Professor Randy Pausch's enlightening lecture informed us about the importance of time management. 5 points that I found incredibly helpful were:
1/ "Failing to plan is planning to fail":
We must plan for the day, week, semester, etc., in order to manage our time properly.
As Professor Pausch said, we can always change our plan but we need to have one first.
2/ To-do lists:
Keeping up with to-do lists is important, and it's also helpful to break bigger assignments into smaller pieces.
Another tip is to start with the "ugliest thing" first to get it out of the way.
3/ Inspiration:
"If you refuse to allow yourself to dream it, I know you won't do it."
Allow yourself to dream, to be inspired, and to believe that you can actually do it. Be determined and have faith in yourself.
4/ Paperwork:
It is essential to keep the working desk clean and organised. Looking for papers on a chaotic desk is time-consuming.
5/ Procrastination:
Avoid procrastination. Each minute you waste is more "expensive" than the last one.
